What do you think of this new cover?
In fiction, it's too easy to overlook the personal toll of war in favor of the sensationalism of battle. My intention with these new covers is to show a theme found in all three books: the negative effect of the Revolutionary War on individuals — in particular, on women. I believe that if we could hear more voices of women from the time of the Revolutionary War, they'd have a different tale to tell than the tale men have traditionally told.

The colors are great, the woman is dressed authentically, and her pose makes you wonder what’s going on, which causes you to want to get the book and find out.
Susan and Tracy, thanks for your input. I’m glad the visual elements in this cover stimulate curiosity. When I’ve looked at a well done cover in a library or bookstore, it’s made me open the book and read — usually in chapter 1, but sometimes elsewhere. I think covers for ebooks have to exert an even more powerful effect. The potential buyer isn’t holding a physical product. Therefore, he or she must be motivated by the cover concept to at least read the book’s online sample.
Great cover. I like how it accomplishes several points – shows a legible title, presents a story question and gives us a character onto whom we can project our imaginations.
